LAKE ERIE WALLEYE CHARTERS
Bring on the heat and bring
on the walleye........ the walleye charter season in Ashtabula Ohio started with
a bang! If you missed your Lake Erie walleye charter in 2007 you missed
something which was certainly nothing short of spectacular and 2008 has proved
yet to be another banner year. It seemed like the good old days as many limit catches
of walleyes were coming in from the month of June and the walleye charters on
Lake Erie continued to be excellent throughout the entire walleye season.
At the charter captains
conference last year we were told that the 2003 Lake Erie walleye hatch was the
best it had been since the heydays of the eighties. Heck, I remember those
days well and I believe last year has rivaled those walleye charter days.
It never ceases to amaze me on just how much Lake Erie continues to produce for
our sport of walleye charter fishing. My hat is always off to the fine
group of Ohio DNR people and others who year after year successfully manage our
resources for the Lake Erie walleye charter fleet, the commercial fishing fleet
and the general population who use this wonderful resource.
If it is walleye you are
after, whether it be numbers or sheer size of our fish, join us for an exciting
day of Ashtabula, Ohio Lake Erie walleye charter fishing and experience for
yourself why Lake Erie waters have the reputation
of being dubbed the "walleye capital of the world"

This is what people come to
Ashtabula Ohio for......the catch of a lifetime and their chance at a true
trophy sized walleye. Pictured is Pat Best who on a recent charter fishing outing with Fedex Freight captured this 10+ pound 31" walleye.......and this group says,
"you should have seen the one that got away" I always enjoy all
of your company and look forward to seeing everyone on your next walleye charter
on Lake Erie.

The Tanferi's enjoy their
time on Lake Erie as evidenced by their own boat in the Ashtabula Harbor.
They decided to take their customers on a walleye fishing charter and the Lucky Strike was the
lucky one to have them - thank you Shawn & Lanee!
Pictured is Lanee who has
added this quote:
"Look at this monster captain
sunshine"

Bruce Stubbs &
group......wow! What a catch! I sure wish dad was around to see
this. Seven fish Ohio awards (walleye over 28") This catch is
another milestone that certainly isn't accomplished every day and once again
enhances the reputation Ashtabula Ohio brings to the table when it comes to
trophy walleye! Heck, it's certainly not accomplished in many lifetimes -
congratulations!

Pictured from l-r with a fine
limit of walleye are Brad Amos, Tom Richey, Dave Hoperich, Paul Amos, Jeff Amos
and Ed Barnhart. Their group has this to say: "Lots of fun and
excellent fishing to boot!" This was their first Lake Erie walleye
charter aboard the Lucky Strike. I hope we showed them a good enough time
to book their next walleye charter with us again!

Mac Chutz (2nd from left) has
already celebrated his 86th birthday on the LUCKY STRIKE........and that was 2
years ago! I wish you many more Mac. Its always a pleasure to have
your group aboard and allowing us the pleasure of your company and good
angling.

The spectacular racks of
walleye just keep coming. For those of you who have visited in the last
few years all I can say is the fishing just doesn't get any better than this.
Ashtabula, Ohio - wow! What a reputation! Walleye capital of the
world.

.....and of course this
just wouldn't be complete without a close up of that trophy walleye which Brad
Amos caught and will proudly be displayed on his wall. That is some fish Brad
and certainly one you won't soon forget. Year after year Ashtabula Ohio
continues to be a sought out destination for excellent Lake Erie walleye fishing
charters and anglers continue to find
their trophy sized fish in our waters. I feel very fortunate to have
anglers around the states display on their walls the true trophies they have
caught on their Lucky Strike fishing charter.

Pound for pound the
Ashtabula, Ohio area of Lake Erie continues to out produce other areas of
the big lake. Many trophy sized walleye are taken each season and we
always hope that every trip will produce one or more trophy walleyes for each charter group.
This is what keeps customers coming back to our area.......healthy good sized
fish in good numbers with some real "wall hanging" trophy sized fish. This
just makes our customers smile :)

Larry Starr - thank
you......you, your family and your friends have been showing up on our fishing
charters for years. You've probably seen the good, the bad & the ugly but
if I remember correctly your groups have really managed to pack the fish in the
boat. How did you get these walleye with those perch boats I see in the
background?

What a beautiful, beautiful
trophy walleye that is! I certainly hope that it made it on someone's wall
to honor the class of fish that it is. People......you could fish all of
your life in inland waters of Ohio and never catch a walleye like this.
I have had people fly
thousands of miles just to have the opportunity of having the chance to catch
one. Congratulations for an angling job well done. It's all about
the trip. I'm sure the memories of this charter will last a lifetime and
catching a walleye like that will last at least another!

In Ginny's words ...."Tom Strock gave his wife
Ginny credit for this pretty walleye she just couldn't bring in alone.
Good team effort."
I was sure happy to hear that
your group had chosen the Lucky Strike again for your walleye fishing
charter........Lake Erie was happy to have had you visit and so am I - thank you!
It was a pleasure to have your group
aboard. What a beautiful smile Ginny and I'm proud to have the privilege
of having your charter fishing picture on our site!

Art Miller and his ship "Lucky Strike" are

This is Theresa Toscano who
on a recent outing with an American Legion Post 159 walleye charter found
herself battling and winning a true trophy sized walleye. Theresa
says, "I have bragging rights for the day....after battling heavy seas and
having our trip cut short - I beat the guys today." Well I guess you did
Theresa and with a fish like that who could argue. I was glad to have you
back and look forward to the next time to see you.

Dave Patrick spends a lot of
time on the water and we are happy to see him and his friends. It is never
a dull moment on Lake Erie with this group. It's always nice to have
someone with walleye charter fishing experience on Lake Erie aboard.......it
gives the captain a break so he'll tip his hat & say "thank you"

Jeff Williams and friends
with a nice cooler of fish. The walleye seems to have a few
downfalls...... one of them is being known for excellent eating. Whether
you take your catch home with you to clean or have our local fish cleaning pros
clean your Lake Erie catch it's always important to keep them cold in a cooler.

Bill, Mike Jr & Sr who
filled up their cooler with some dandy sized fish. Mike, be sure everyone
at work gets to see these & say hello to WV from us......we have had so many
Lake Erie walleye charters from people in your state over the years and we
always enjoy a good time with them on the water.

Bryan left with his uncle
Mike........I think we have had your family and friends on our walleye fishing
charters for a few years
now and let me extend my thank you to everyone.......we sure have a fun day on
the water. What kind of caption do you think we can get for this picture?

Bruce Stubbs with a trophy
sized walleye over 30". We got forced off the Lake Erie water today due to severe
storm threats but not before we managed to get a cooler of fish for Bruce and
his friends.....well guys safety is always first on our boat and I'm sure we
will all be together again to do more battle with the Lake Erie walleye.

Hello Mike......sure was nice
to have you aboard and manage a hefty cooler of fish today. Everything
seemed to be big and this is out of the realm of normal but we'll take those big
fish & be happy with what we got! Ashtabula Ohio does have that trophy
walleye reputation but your charter exceeded the amount of those fish we usually
bring in per charter.

The "LUCKY STRIKE" has helped
many an angler capture their trophy for the wall. I believe this one now
hangs in Bryan Rafferty's office who weathered the storm in uneasy water on Lake
Erie to
capture this prize. Thanks for your business Bryan and I am looking
forward to this years walleye fishing charter you have booked.

These two ladies traveled
some distance to capture their Lake Erie walleye.....all the way from Alabama!
Now you can tell everyone at home that the reputation Lake Erie has as the
walleye capital of the world sure holds true as you have experienced first hand.

Add another one for the
girls....despite getting her up very early for this fishing trip Penny Bennett
still managed a smile for this shot while holding up two nice Lake Erie
walleyes. The ladies always have that uncanny ability while on our Lake
Erie fishing charters to "bring home the bacon" as evidenced by pictures on this
page.

Kevin Schlieper with a 30 1/2" 9
1/2 pound walleye caught on a recent Lake Erie charter fishing outing. This is a dandy size fish
Kevin & you call tell all of your friends they don't come this big everyday!
Lake Erie continues to take top honors for fish Ohio awards and walleye charters
on Lake Erie account for many of those.

When bringing your cooler to
take your catch home do not underestimate how walleyes can pack a cooler
quickly.....take a look at this, a 120 quart cooler filled to the rim! I
hope that your group will be the next to call for your walleye charter on Lake
Erie aboard the "Lucky Strike"

When this West Virginia group
makes their way to Ashtabula Ohio for their Lake Erie walleye charter beware......look at how they pack a cleaning
table of fish!

Gary Roth always manages to
grab the right rods. He is pictured here with a 32" 11 1/2 # walleye he
caught on his walleye charter outing this year. Gary seems to always manage to land big
fish and there was no controversy with this one Gary. Add it to the rest
of the ones you have landed on the Lucky Strike during your Lake Erie walleye
charters.

Well Jen, being offshore with
the captain and a group of women like you makes me realize one thing will
always remain sacred......what happens on the water stays on the water!
Nice fish Jen and what a trophy walleye....... I'm sure happy to have had you ladies
aboard! After you show everyone at work I hope they may seek the Lucky
Strike for their next Lake Erie walleye charter.

What a pretty smile we get
from Ashtabula Ohio's own Dana Lariche and what a wonderful day we had
on Lake Erie. A beautiful lake combined with good fishing always helps us
get smiles like this. It was funny how we met a day or so before your
charter and I hope that showing you Lake Erie and what it has to offer for
walleye fishing charters will always bring back fond memories of our time on the
lake.

And adding to those smiles
are Chuck with his son Shane who are holding up one of their walleyes and the
ever acrobatic steelhead trout which they landed on their last Lake Erie walleye
charter with us. Thank you Chuck once again for choosing the Lucky Strike
for your walleye charter on Lake Erie and I look forward to the next time you
decide to charter with us.

Mark Denmeade gets right
after the task for a picture.....must have been a triple header. Nice
having you again Mark. It is a pleasure to have you aboard for your
walleye charter while pursuing your catch on Lake Erie. I hope you had sun
tan lotion on!

Glen Hensley's charter group managed to get on some real trophy sized
walleye.
This walleye was a real prize for Glen and they certainly don't get over 10#
everyday. Look at the girth on this fish. What a good landing job
Glen, I'm sure you will remember this fish for years to come. Our walleye
fishing charters on Lake Erie attract people from around the globe and its fish
like this that keep them returning to Ashtabula, Ohio.

Pictured from l-r are Dave,
Jackie, Steve, John and Rich from the Quality Logistics outing on Lake
Erie.
This group wanted to send a message that they fear no fish.....other messages
may be coming and I'll post them as I'm advised. It was a pleasure
everyone and I'm happy to have had you aboard. Sorry you had to miss your
groups walleye charter Bryan but I'm certainly they filled you in on the details
as their picture will attest to.
