LAKE ERIE FISHING CHARTER
If you choose charter fishing for walleye, yellow perch, smallmouth bass or steelhead trout on Lake Erie the following list will cover an average charter fishing trip. Click on "charter information" above for a description on what type of charter fishing happens on a monthly basis. Or you may wish to email or call the captain and he will be happy to discuss your needs with you. Standard charter rates include the following:
- Fishing trip aboard the "LUCKY STRIKE"
- Length of trip is normally 8-9 hours dock to dock, or fish limit
- U.S.C.G. Licensed master captain
- Ohio licensed guide
- Captain certified in CPR and first aid
- Commercially insured charter boat by Charter Lakes Marine Insurance
- In full compliance with the U.S. Coast Guard drug testing regulations (46 CFR Part 16 & 49 CFR part 40)
- Enrolled in the The Maritime Consortium
- First aid supplies
- All fishing equipment, bait and tackle
- Ice and cooler for you catch while aboard
- The captain supports the "Zero Tolerance" drug programs of the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Customs
Business and executive boat charters are adjusted on a custom need basis and may include such items as fish cleaning, packaging, and shipping, lodging, lunches, beverages, etc.
First mates, when provided, work for usual and customary tips (comparable to what you may tip at restaurants)
Unusual events lead to surcharges, including, but not limited to loosing rods or nets overboard or breaking other boat equipment while on board. These charges will be current equipment replacement costs.
FISH CLEANING INFORMATION FOR FISHING CHARTERS IN ASHTABULA OHIO
Please note that there are two options for fish cleaning:
1) Have your fish cleaned in the harbor by one of our professional fish cleaners or
2) Take your fish home to clean.
Please note that these are your two options. There are no public fish cleaning areas.
A $75.00 deposit is required to reserve each day booked. A two week notice is required for deposits to be refunded due to charter party cancellations.
If inclement weather warrants a cancellation by the captain your charter may be re-scheduled to the next available date of your choice or your deposit will be refunded.
Acceptable payment methods are cash, bank, business and personal check.
